i don’t usually post about promoting companies, even charity companies, because i find it gets spammy really quick. but i did really want to mention this company called4ocean. they make bracelets out of recyclables pulled from the sea, and according to them each purchase helps them to remove 1 pound of litter. through november purchases of certain bracelets are helping to fund birdlife international!
also – i should have added pictures. they do not in any way look like ‘trash’ any more, they are genuinely pretty nice bracelets!
todays bird is: harley the quaker parrot!
attention everyone who has sent in a request or plans to: i am no longer going to be actively fulfilling requests for birds. i have a lot of fun doing it, but i get very many requests and it takes up a lot of my time. i’m in college and am moving out soon and i’m trying to get stuff in order. i will still occasionally do requests, but i have no time guarantees or anything like that. i greatly appreciate everyone’s requests and support of the blog!

“My room is nice and clean! Do I get extra millet?”
for November ill focus on not only turkeys, but appreciating all kinds of birds that are commonly not appreciated for their beauty or behavior but as food (pheasants, chickens, etc)
sometimes like. i feel like ben franklin was actually on to something about turkeys being the national bird. we bash on turkeys all the time but if you actually look at them they’re really beautiful birds
