I rescued these cockatiels a month ago. They were tied together and left to die. I sought help in the only bird rescue here where I live but they can not keep them. I am taking care of them with a veterinarian specializing in birds, medicating and feeding properly. They’re doing fine. One has a permanently damaged wing. The other is recovering the feathers of the neck, lost because of the injure. I am putting a lot of effort into caring for these poor creatures. Unfortunately I have not found anyone to adopt them. Nobody wants them because of the noise they make and the broken wing. They are approximately 1 year old and with proper care they will live 20+ years. But we do not have a suitable cage for them to spend a part of the day while I work. (They are afraid of hands. I’ll let them explore the house outside the cage soon). They stay in temporary cages, which are small. $60- $ 70 buy a good cage and toys for them. I need to return the temporary cages soon, so I’m asking for help. Any amount helps a lot. Any questions you can send me an email, I will send you photos and videos of the cockatiels. Thank you all ❤
