SWEET BBY I LOVE CROWS SO MUCH
CROW
it understood there was water in there…and exactly how to get the water out….it just couldn’t do it alone…hot damn they are fucking smart
This crow would have grown up in that area, watching people with bottles. It would have observed them opening the cap, and the water flowing out. Crows are incredibly intelligent, and this further proves the fact that it connected that without that lid water would be available.
Friendly! Popped a water bottle cap clean off the bottle. Left a bunch of holes in it shaped like a smiley face.
Bought this skull in France.
It’s around 35 mm/3.5 cm or 1 ¼ in, roughly the size of my thumb pad.I’m fairly confident this guy is either a Red Faced Mousebird or a Blue Naped Mousebird. Their beaks differ from their arboreal cousins, those two are the only species of Mousebird with curved beaks.
Gray Catbird / Dumetella carolinensis, NW Ohio (photography by me)
probably my favorite bird here! super cute, makes a lot of crazy noises. easy to confuse ‘em for mockingbirds, but their vocalizations are different!
they can mimic birds, tree frogs, mechanical sounds, and can make two noises at once!
Today was another Blue Jay day (I hope you are not getting sick of seeing them). The morning light was amazing (I barely edited these photos). And they even shared!
