hmm…admittedly i don’t have a lot of experience with that. id try adding cayenne pepper to the food. it doesn’t bother birds’ weak taste buds but it will generally deter mammals. it’s worked pretty well for squirrels at my house, not sure about rats however, they’ve never really gone to my feeders

Hey! Thanks for making this site a little better ^^ Since you seem to be on board with follower requests, may I ask for some Canaries? Gloster or not. They are little balls of condensed cute.

what’re your thoughts on jacanas? especially the fledglings! i swear their claws freak me out and i love them so much, they’re perfect… also when their mom carries them it looks so freaking funny and also kind of horrific
Your blog is the best discovery I’ve made in months. <3

nomination for most terrifying bird: capercaillie. their calls, their fights? spooky.
when i followed this blog i was somehow under the impression you’d post like, one (1) bird a day. i was wrong. now my dash is 80% birds and it’s wholesome and perfect and i’m in love with everyone’s beautiful feathered friends. thank you so much

Hello! I was wondering if you have any parrot or other bird rescues you would recommend supporting and/or adopting from in the United States? I’ve worked with rehabilitating wild birds before, but I’m a little overwhelmed trying to discern some reputable organizations for those kept as pets. Thank you for your time, and best of luck on your schoolwork and the rest!
hey, thanks so much! i do have some recommendations. there’s a few bad eggs you have to watch for that are really just people trying to fundraise to keep a flock of their own, but there’s a lot of good, dedicated people. not all are from personal experience, but I have heard great things about all of these places:
I know I’ve already said this but I’ll say it as many times as I need to holy heck I love your blog so much I’m shdkslsbsvjsld (also, greater sage-grouse make the best noises if you were ever curious)
