I found this guy (Australian lorikeet) in a garden at my daughters school when he was roughly 9 weeks old. He was suffering from lorikeet paralysis syndrome when we found him and the ants were already working their way under his feathers. I spent 20 minutes picking ants off him and months hand feeding him fruit and honey. He is now healthy, his legs are still lightly splayed and he can’t sit on smooth surfaces but he’s toilet trained and gives kisses. Worlds away from the bird I found in the garden almost a year ago and very much a part of this family now. We love you Buddy ❤️

– he’s beautiful!! so glad you guys saved him. thank you for sharing!

Have you heard about the drunk birds in Minnesota? Poor party animals… I tried to upload a good video but couldn’t find footage of just the birds. Maybe a more computer savvy individual like yourself will have better luck.🍻🐦

i have! i was kinda surprised cause usually you see this stuff later in the year…apparently the berries fermented easier than usual. haha, i am the LAST person id call computer savvy – i couldn’t either :/

(for those who haven’t seen it, there’s an article on it here)

Try seagulls!! They don’t often have a great reputation (at least in my experience) but they’re just so lovely and deserve more appreciation Or maybe chickens and other farm fowl? They’re often underestimated. I do really love a good chicken, such precious and powerful little dinosaurs

i hope the recent seagulls have been satisfactory! ill add some chickens to the queue, i love them lots
