I know you once said you didn’t upload a lot of north american birds because that’s what people are more used to (I think?), but I’m really loving this recent focus on them! As someone from south america, all these northern birbs make me really happy. I’ve never seen wading north american wading birds in focus before for example! Thanks for posting them! <3

that’s great to hear! you’re super welcome. most of my followers are from North America, so North American birds tend to get less attention; but honestly, this started as a no-pressure fun blog for me, so ive tried to focus more on birds that i like regardless of how well they’re received. I Love wading birds, ill have to post some more !

a fun bird fact that i hope u dont already have on here somewhere: pigeons can apparently count to 6/7. some very smart ones even to 8 iirc. source: my high-school biology teacher who tested that stuff when he was studying biology

didn’t know that!! that’s pretty awesome! i knew about Alex being able to count to 6, but wasn’t aware of pigeons. i guess it shouldn’t be a surprise given how smart they are. i’ll have to make a post on it, thanks!

Hi! I just wanted to say… I adore your blog. I think it’s my favorite animal related blog. You feature so much bird diversity with great info and pictures! It’s wonderful <3 If I may make a suggestion… could you do something on tawny frogmouths sometime? They’re one of my favorite birds. Their facial expressions always make me smile. xp

Of course! thank you for the kind words!

may I share the first image I saw when I opened my eyes today?

I REALLY wonder how long he has been watching me sleep like this, ominously perching on my bed 13 cm away from my face, but on the other hand,im afraid to find out. This is what I get for allowing my bird to be present when my sister watches twilight.

on the other hand, with that judgy expression, no nightmare will dare to show up because they all scared to fail his high expectations ,so that’s at least something ¯_(ツ)_/¯
