i really like when parrots want to get your attention and just start interjecting words like “SCRITCHES SCRITCHES!!” or “TREAT” frantically while you have a conversation

so there’s been debate lately over whether or not it’s good to put out feeders for your backyard birds. and evidence seems to point towards supplementary feeding being really, really good for them! birdfeeding helps birds make it through winter, particularly in areas where there’s lots of development/climate change has made winters colder than usual/the odds are stacked against birds. HOWEVER. birdfeeding can also spread disease! please remember to clean your birdfeeders every few weeks to keep your friends healthy!! there’s a good guide here on how to properly do it!
