the major mitchell’s cockatoo, also known as the leadbeater’s cockatoo or pink cockatoo, is a medium-sized parrot found in australia. cockatoos feed off of fruit, vegetation, and seeds, and are incredibly social. they live in large, noisy flocks, and are rarely seen alone. while cockatoos are common in the pet trade, they are often surrendered to rescues and shelters due to their noise level and need for social interaction.

Dory is about 6 years old and indeed named after the fish on Finding Little Nemo! She is very adorable and chatty. She would like to have another lovebird to play with but not to breed. We don’t condone or support breeding. She is splay-legged most likely due to being the youngest in a clutch in a nest box. That does not stop her in the slightest! She is a great flyer and a great explorer.

Let us know if you would like to meet Dory! You can find the adoption application here: http://papayagorescuehouse.org/adoptables/

If you cannot bring Dory home, could you support her stay?:

Betty Davis was dropped off at a shelter with her Nanday sister. She didn’t come with her name or belongings so she is starting life over. Can you be the Mom or Dad she needs to start again in a safe environment? Keep her and protect her? She is a typical green cheek. She is cheeky while giving you Betty Davis eyes. Please have bird experience for this girl. She will not do well being spoiled.

If you wish to bring Betty D. home, please read our guidelines and fill out an application form: http://papayagorescuehouse.org/adoptables/

If you can, please support her journey while she is staying at Papayago. She has her own wishlist at:https://smile.amazon.com/gp/registry/giftlist/1SBHDG4B57K6Q…

Willow is a vivacious 2-year-old, Goffin’s cockatoo! Willow has already been through three homes. Including one that kept her outside beneath a willow tree. This is not her fault. She is still a baby in many respects. She is a dainty girl who loves cuddles, playing with her new toys, and most of all dancing! Her wonderful personality is sure to win you over.

The first step to meeting Willow is to fill out an adoption application. No one will be considered without it. To download an application go here: http://papayagorescuehouse.org/adoptables/.

Want to support Willow’s stay? You can donate to her through her own Amazon Wishlist! Found here: https://smile.amazon.com/…/FBW9T3…/ref=nav_wishlist_lists_3…
